Guava

The guava is sometimes referred to as the “tropical apple”.   They come with creamy white, pink or red flesh and have a sweet musky flavour.  The variety we use is the ‘pink’ guava with delicious notes of pear and strawberry.   Guavas are not the most laid back of tropical fruits as they become over ripe very quickly.  The trick is in knowing exactly when they are ready to process to capture their subtle and unique flavour.   We've found guava to work well amongst other tropical counterparts so we created a refreshing and delicious tropical troupe in our Guava with Passionfruit, Mango and Cream Tub.

All the guavas we use at Weis are grown locally in Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
